Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced MIG Pipe Welders for projects located in or around Pipersville, PA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience plus $125/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite.  If you are a Pipe Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

 

Job Scope:

  • Perform MIG/GMAW pipe welding
  • Fabricate ductwork systems and complete modular mechanical systems
  • Weld Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 black steel pipe
  • Perform welding in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
  • Complete short-circuit root passes with pulse fill and cap techniques
  • Fit and weld pipe ranging primarily from 4" to 12"
  • Produce high-quality welds that meet ultrasonic testing (UT) requirements
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld specifications
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • Previous MIG/GMAW pipe welding experience 
  • Ability to pass a 6G weld test
  • Experience working with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 black steel pipe
  • Experience performing root, fill, and cap welds
  • Ability to weld in multiple positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead
  • Experience producing welds subject to ultrasonic testing (UT)
  • Strong fitting and fabrication skills
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
