Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Motor Repair Technicians for projects located in or around Michigan City, IN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$30/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Motor Repair Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

 

Job Scope:

  • Assist with the disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of AC/DC motors
  • Inspect motor components for wear, damage, and electrical or mechanical issues
  • Repair and replace motor components as needed
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting motor performance
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Perform both shop and occasional on-site customer work
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:

  • Previous AC/DC motor repair experience preferred
  • Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will be considered
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Must be available for on-site field work when needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to develop new skills
