Pipe Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pipe Welders for projects located in the Manhattan, IL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $45-65/hour based on experience plus $700/week per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. • Job Scope:         

• Perform stick welding on carbon schedule 160 pipe in the 6G position using 6010 for the open root and hot pass and 7018 for the fill and cap
• TIG welding will be performed on carbon schedule 160 pipe in the 6G position with an open root and TIG all the way out
• Complete super coupons with a 2-inch OD and .625-inch wall thickness, with both welds performed uphill
• Plate testing may also be scheduled using 3/8-inch plate with a backing strip in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions

• All PPE
• All tools for the trade
• Pass a weld test
