Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welders for projects located in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Read and interpret structural blueprints and fabrication drawings
  
• Layout, measure, fit, and assemble structural steel
  
• Work with beams, columns, channels, angles, plate, and other structural components
  
• Fit steel according to drawings and required measurements
  
• Measure and mark material for cutting and fabrication
  
• Use grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication tools
  
• Tack weld components into position for final welding
  
• Check assemblies for proper dimensions, alignment, square, and fit

• Previous structural steel fitting experience
• Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing reading skills
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience laying out and fitting structural steel
• Knowledge of welding symbols and fit-up requirements
