Structural Flux Core Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux Core Welders for projects located in the West Jordan, UT area. This is a first & second shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $24-35/hour based on experience plus $100/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:        

• Perform structural steel welding in a shop environment
  
• Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
  
• Perform FCAW / flux-core welding to project specifications
  
• Follow applicable WPS requirements
  
• Read and work from structural drawings and weld symbols
  
• Maintain weld quality and production standards
  
• Work extended shifts and overtime as required
  
• Maintain a safe and organized work area

• Flux-Core Arc welding, structural steel and heavy fabrication experience
• Pass a weld test
• Basic welding PPE
• Preferred Experience:
  
  • Structural steel fabrication
    
  • FCAW / flux-core welding
    
  • Heavy fabrication
    
  • Beam and column welding
    
  • Groove and fillet welds
    
  • WPS-based welding
    
  • Structural drawings and weld symbols
    
  • AWS or other structural welding certifications
