CNC Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced CNC Machinists for projects located in the Portage, IN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills, horizontal boring mills, and turning centers within a custom job-shop environment
  
• Work with Mazak, Haas, Kia, and Tongtai equipment, including Mazak HCN, VTC, Quick Turn, Slant Turn, and Integrex machines
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
  
• Select tooling, establish work offsets, load programs, and make necessary program adjustments
  
• Set up fixtures, pallet systems, hydraulic steady rests, and Renishaw probing equipment
  
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments
  
• Safely move and position materials using overhead cranes and jib cranes
  
• Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust tooling and offsets, and maintain quality throughout production
  
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
