Welder/Fitter/Fabricator

Job Scope:

• Perform dual-shield, wire-feed, stick, and flux-core welding
• Weld using 7018 stick electrodes and .045 wire as required
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Fit, tack, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding
• Fabricate and assemble structural steel, tanks, and other metal products
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
• Grind welds and metal surfaces to meet quality requirements
• Work with a variety of metals and materials according to project specifications
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all jobsite and shop safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous welding, fitting, or metal fabrication experience required
• Experience with dual-shield, wire-feed, stick welding, and/or flux-core welding
• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and fabrication drawings
• Experience with fitting, tack welding, cutting, grinding, measuring, and assembly
• Must possess a current WABO or ASME qualification for vertical and overhead welding, or be able to pass the required weld test
• Ability to maintain quality and productivity standards in fabrication and welding environments
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
