Steel Erector

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Steel Erectors for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:        

• Erect and install structural steel stairs handrails and miscellaneous metals
• Bolt weld align and secure steel components according to project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and layout plans
• Safely operate hand and power tools commonly used in ironwork
• Work at heights while following all osha and jobsite safety requirements
• Assist with rigging material handling and equipment setup as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• 2+ years of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, commercial construction, or related experience
• Experience installing structural steel, stairs, handrails, or similar metal components preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
• Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor construction environments
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
• Must have your own basic hand tools and required PPE
