Heavy Equipment Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for projects located in the Buffalo, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $50/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, motor graders, rollers, telehandlers, and off-road equipment
  
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation
  
• Load, move, and stockpile materials safely and efficiently
  
• Excavate around existing underground utilities
  
• Read grade stakes, site plans, and blueprints
  
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and ground crews
  
• Follow all OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements

• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
• Experience in commercial, civil, utility, roadway, or site development projects
• Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans
• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus, but not required
• CDL, NCCCO, or other equipment certifications are a plus
