Structural Steel Erector

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Steel Erectors for projects located in or around Salem, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Structural Steel Erector and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:      

• Erect and install structural steel components 
• Connect steel beams, columns, girders, and other structural members according to blueprints and specifications
• Bolt, weld, and secure steel components in place
• Guide cranes and rigging crews during lifting and placement operations
• Install metal decking, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel components
• Verify alignment, ensuring it is plum and structural integrity of installed steel
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team to complete projects on schedule

Requirements:

• Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Knowledge of steel erection tools, equipment, and safety procedures
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience in structural steel erection preferred
