Licensed Journeyman Sheetmetal Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Licensed Journeyman Sheetmetal Technicians for projects located in or around Stamford, CT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Sheetmetal Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:       

• Set up, maintain & repair air distribution systems for heating, ventilation & air conditioning in residential, commercial & industrial settings
• Manipulate sheet metal & fiberglass materials
• Read & interpret mechanical drawings, building plans & specifications to determine layout placement
• Install/Assemble systems & hang ductwork, registers, grilles, diffusers & dampers using hangers & brackets
• Seal & insulate/apply sealants, mastic & specialized tape to join to ensure its airtight
• Test performance/conduct pressure & leakage test

Requirements:

• Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, navigate scaffolding & work in confined spaces (crawl spaces or attics)
• Must have sheetmetal fabrication experience 
• Must have basic hand tools
• Must have a CT license
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, building plans & specifications to determine layout placement
