Refrigeration Installation Technician Trainee

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Refrigeration Installation Technician Trainees for projects located in or around Houston, TX. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $18–$19/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Assisting with the installation and setup of commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, display cases, and large refrigeration units in retail stores.
• Performing physical labor including lifting, carrying, loading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
• Supporting installation work involving basic to advanced plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Climbing ladders, working at elevated heights, and safely operating in an active construction and remodel environment
• Reading and following blueprints, installation layouts, and job specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area while following company and OSHA safety standards
• Traveling to various job sites as needed and work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors

Requirements:

• Must have experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or other skilled trades preferred
• Must have a strong and consistent work history with reliable attendance
• Must have a willingness to learn refrigeration installation and develop new technical skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
• Basic hand tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred
