Flat Laser Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Laser Operators for projects located in the Rock Valley, IA area. This is a third shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:         

• Operate Mitsubishi fiber laser systems with automation
• Download and run layout programs
• Use automation to load and move raw material onto the laser bed
• Verify correct material is being cut
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint tolerances and are burr-free
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including:
  • Cleaning laser bed slats
  • Removing slag from beneath the machine
• Operate a forklift
• Occasionally operate an overhead crane

• Proven experience operating flat laser systems (Mitsubishi preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
• Forklift experience required (overhead crane experience a plus)
• Pass a drug screen and background check
