Rolling Mill Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Rolling Mill Operators for projects located in the Sandy, OR area. Job Scope:        

• Operate steel rolling machines as a Rolling Mill Operator to form 1-inch thick steel sheets into a circular shape, creating pipes and tanks

• Perform welding tasks using dual shield, MIG, TIG, and Flux core welding processes (no hardwire welding)

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed while operating the machine and performing welding operations

• Maintain the rolling mill equipment and welding tools to ensure smooth and efficient operation

• Monitor material quality and thickness to meet required specifications

• Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on the rolling mill machine and welding equipment

• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Rolling Mill Operator or in a similar manufacturing or metal fabrication role
• Proficient in welding using dual shield, MIG, TIG, and Flux core welding (no hardwire welding)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with manual rolling mill machines (non-CNC)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and maneuver steel sheets and materials safely
• Availability to work extensive overtime as needed
