Painter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Painters for projects located in the Minden, LA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $28/hour based on experience and plus $100/day worked per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:          

• Preparing, finishing & applying industrial coatings to components and materials
• Sand, prep & repair materials and surfaces prior to painting
• Ensure surfaces are clean, free of defects, and ready for coating
• Mix paints  primers  and coatings according to specifications
• Perform spray painting as the primary application method  with additional roller or brush application as needed
• Maintain and repair paint equipment including spray guns and paint booths
• Ensure all tools and areas are clean and in safe working condition
• Inspect finished work for quality and completeness
• Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines during preparation and application of paints and coatings

• Prior work experience

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Demonstrated ability to use spray guns, sanding tools, and other paint department equipment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and comply with safety protocols

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work in varied temperatures

• Comfortable working with paint fumes and in a production environment
