Sheet Metal Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheetmetal Technicians for projects located in & around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $40.97/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Sheetmetal Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:      

• Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly
• Use small hand tools, electric drills, grinders, rivet guns, shop equipment, drill press, press, etc.
• Assemble, piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality manner
• Rigging, material handling
• Working from heights & in a fast paced environment

Requirements:

• Ability to comprehend complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, sketches, weld symbols, material types & reference lines
• Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions as with the use of a ruler
• Must be comfortable working from heights
