Large Horizontal Boring Mill (LHBM) Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Large Horizontal Boring Mill (LHBM) Machinist for a project located in N Tonawanda, NY.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $34/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:    

• Operate & maintain large horizontal boring mil (LHBM) equipment
• Use micrometers, calipers, tape measures and scales to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Observe machining process and product quality to detect malfunctions
• Troubleshoot, adjust and reprogram machine controls as needed
• Sharpen and replace worn tools
• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes

Requirements:

• Formal training as a machinist preferred
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, tape measures and scales
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings
• Ability to troubleshoot, adjust and reprogram controls
• Ability to sharpen and replace worn tools
• Quality assurance focus and adherence to QA procedures
