Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in the Shelby, NC area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-32/hour based on experience plus $125/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Perform MIG welding on detention products such as cell panels, door frames, and reinforcement components
Fit, align, and tack heavy-gauge steel parts according to fabrication drawings, jigs, and tolerances
Weld structural joints and seams
Assist in assembling modular jail cell units and ensuring accurate alignment of door frames, hinges, brackets, and structural tie-ins
Conduct visual inspection of weld quality and verify fit-up accuracy
Grind, clean, and prep welded components for coating or finishing as required
Assist with the movement of materials, staging, and general housekeeping within the work area
