Structural Submerged Arc Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Structural Submerged Arc Welders for projects located in the Western NY area.  This is a second shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $35/hour based on experience plus $125/Per Diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Submerged Arc Welder (SAW) who is AWS D1.1 certified (with a preference for AWS D1.5 certification), eager to master your skills alongside other accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:       

• Fit, assemble, and weld structural steel components

• Ensure proper alignment and make adjustments for structural integrity

• Perform FLUX welding to join steel components

• Maintain, clean, and safely operate fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery

• Adhere to PPE and site safety protocols

• Report hazards or equipment issues promptly

Requirements:

• • Minimum 5 years of welding/fitting experience

  • AWS D1.1 certified with a preference for AWS D1.5 certification

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of structural steel principles

  • Ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments

  • Safety-conscious and dependable

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Able to Pass an on-site Welder/Fitter Test
