Naval/Commercial Pipe Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Naval/Commercial Pipe Welders for a project located in or around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $60/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:    

• Pipe welding with various filler metals
• Utilize various welding processes throughout all phases of ship construction
• Tak welding
• Fillet Welding
• Full penetration welding
• Welding on steel foundations, structural & pipe joints
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years pipe welding experience 
• Must have 5+ years commercial/naval experience
• Ability to fuse inserts & welds using the SMAW shielded metal arc process
• Ability to fuse inserts & weld carbon steel, stainless steel & copper nickel pipe using various welding processes
• Ability to work in a fast pace, physically demanding environment
• Must pass vision & various welding test
