Manual Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Manual Machinists for a project located in Chehalis, WA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay range is $25-$38/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:      

• Set up and run:
  • Engine lathes
  • Vertical lathes
  • Horizontal boring mills
  • Milling machines
  • Other related manual shop equipment
• Apply basic geometry and trigonometry to determine: Depth of cuts, Machining dimensions, Calculate and set machine controls for:, Cutter speeds, Feeds
• Read & interpret technical drawings 
• Inspect and verify conformance of finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments
• Operate overhead cranes and use safe rigging practices

Requirements:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to solve basic shop math problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
•  Experience operating manual machines is required
•  Welding experience is favorable but not required
