Marine Electrician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Electricians for a project located on the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, WA.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Electrician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:       

• Troubleshoot electrical equipment and circuits
• Maintain & repair generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarms & lighting circuits
• Conduct insulation resistance measurements or electrical cables to determine replacement or repairs needed
• Installation/alterations to electrical systems aboard ships
• Maintain adequate inventories or electrical spare parts & requisition replacement parts as required  
• Maintain electrical system maintenance histories, notating dates, extent of repairs and/or alterations

Requirements:

• Must have OSHA 10, Maritime & Fire-watch; OSHA 10 may be provided to qualified candidates
• Must pass background check & drug screen 
• Must be familiar with EPISM requirements
• Must be able to perform both standard item 00916 & A 00936 
• Must be able to read & interpret government drawings
• Must be able to distinguish color code phasing orange, brown, yellow, black, white & red
• Must pass standard Jaegers test, read J1 letters or equivalent with or without corrective lenses & pass color vision test
• Must have 3+ years Marine experience
