Mechanical / Electrical Helper

Tradesmen International is currently hiring skilled Mechanical / Electrical Helpers for projects located in and around York, PA.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $31/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Mechanical / Electrical Helper eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

Job Scope:

• Assist with the Installation of Large Industrial Fans
  Mechanical Support:
  • Assist in unpacking and staging of fan components and hardware.
  • Help with the lifting, alignment, and mounting of the fan hub, motor, and blades.
  • Use hand tools, lifts, and rigging equipment as needed to support the mechanical installation.
  • Secure mounting brackets and support structures as directed.
  Electrical Support:
  • Assist in routing conduit and pulling electrical wire from the power source to the fan motor/control panel.
  • Help with terminating conductors into the fan control system, junction boxes, and motor per wiring diagrams.
  • Follow NEC codes and manufacturer installation manuals for all electrical tasks.
  • Support testing and commissioning, including helping verify voltage, amperage, and controller function.

Requirements:

• • Basic mechanical and electrical skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Comfortable with physical work and heights as needed

  • Appropriate PPE
