Printing and Labeling Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Printing and Labeling Technicians for projects located in Ruther Glen, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $20/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Set up calibrate and operate printing engraving and labeling machines according to production schedules and specifications
• Inspect printed materials for quality assurance ensuring legibility correct placement and adherence to client specifications
• Load materials such as labels ink ribbons and packaging components into machinery
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of printing and labeling equipment to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure timely availability and flow of labeling materials
• Accurately complete production logs quality control checklists and equipment maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities
• Communicate issues delays or discrepancies to supervision in a timely and solution oriented manner

• High School Diploma or GED required technical training preferred
• 1-3 years of experience operating printing labeling or packaging machinery in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Familiarity with bar-code systems labeling software laser engraving machines and thermal or ink-jet printers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
• Proficient in reading work orders production schedules and basic technical drawings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for prolonged periods and operate equipment in a production setting
• Willingness to work flexible shifts overtime or weekends based on production demands
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
