Turbine Millwright

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Turbine Millwrights for projects located in and around Knoxville, TN.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $24-36/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Millwright and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Perform field activities at:

• Telecommunication central offices

• Electric utility substations

• Data centers

• Lead and perform battery and DC power plant installations and hot cutovers

• Battery testing
• Preventative maintenance
• Battery and equipment installations (with limited supervision)
• Conduct site surveys and quality control of other technicians’ activities
• Test and verify alarms
• Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
• Build and enhance customer relationships
• Provide field updates to Operations Manager as requested

• Excellent computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and climb stairs/ladders
• 2+ years of related technical training/experience
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the U.S. for extended periods
