Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring motivated Flat Welders for projects located in the Neillsville, WI area. This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is $30/hour based on experience plus $100/day worked per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:         

• Using the provided setup sheet, operators verify that the correct filler metal is installed and make changes if necessary
• Set gas flow according to the parameters specified in the WPS instructions
• Set up manual welding machines or download welding programs per instructions on the setup sheet
• Confirm that the correct tooling is installed in the robotic weld cell or staged properly for manual operations
• Examine weld prints for size, spacing, location, and other specifications
• Load and accurately position parts into tooling as per blueprints and work instructions
• Weld parts according to customer-provided prints and specifications
• Remove weld spatter and scale from completed parts
• When required, remove material using grinding or other metal finishing processes (manual or powered) to meet customer requirements
• Perform quality checks as outlined in the setup sheet
• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and orderly
• Set up and operate robotic welding cells as required
• Rework parts as needed to ensure they meet customer specifications
