Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around Freeland, WA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Preparation & Layout
Select appropriate filler metals, consumables, and welding processes
Welding & Fabrication
Perform welding on a variety of piping systems: fuel, lube oil, hydraulics, fire main, potable water, steam, etc.
Utilize multiple processes: SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW (flux-core)
Work with carbon steel, copper-nickel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys
Execute welds in all positions (1G–6G) to meet marine welding standards
Installation & Repair
Weld pipe spools, flanges, brackets, and supports for shipboard systems
Repair cracked, damaged, or corroded piping and fittings
Perform hot work aboard vessels in compliance with shipyard fire watch and safety protocols
Inspection & Testing
Conduct visual inspections for defects (undercut, porosity, lack of fusion, etc.)
Prepare welds for NDT (x-ray, dye penetrant, ultrasonic, magnetic particle)
Repair or reweld as needed to achieve acceptance standards
Compliance & Safety
Follow all shipyard safety policies, including confined space entry, hot work permits, and lockout/tagout procedures
