Manual Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Manual Machinists for projects located in and around Lansdowne, MD.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $25/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Manual Machinist eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

Job Scope:

• Operate a Variety of Manual Machine Tools, including Lathes, Mills, Jig Borers, and Precision Grinders
• Perform Machining Operations on Various Materials, Maintaining Tight Dimensional Tolerances
• Use a Wide Range of Precision Measuring Instruments to Verify Dimensions and Ensure Part Accuracy
• Select Appropriate Cutting Tools and Machining Methods to Maximize Efficiency and Product Quality
• Set Up Machines and Workpieces according to Technical Drawings and Specifications
• Fabricate Complex Parts With Interrelated Dimensions, Compound Angles, Irregular Surfaces, and Exacting Tolerances
• Layout Parts and Perform Setups using both Hand and Machine Tools

Requirements:

• • Proven Experience Operating Manual Machine Tools in a Shop or Production Environment
  • Strong Ability to Read and Interpret Technical Drawings and Blueprints
  • Skilled in the use of Precision Measuring Instruments (ie: Calipers, Micrometers, gauges)
  • Understanding of Cutting Tools Selection, Speeds, and Feeds for Various Materials
  • High Attention to Detail and Commitment to Producing Quality Work
  • Ability to Work Independently and Manage Multiple Machining Tasks Efficiently
  • Reliable Transportation and Attendance
