Crane & Tower Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Crane & Tower Operators for projects located in the Oakland, CA area. This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is $38-42/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Operate ship-to-shore gantry cranes or yard cranes to safely lift, move, and position cargo containers between ships, trucks, and storage areas, following terminal procedures and safety standards
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment
• Report any mechanical issues, defects, or malfunctions to maintenance personnel to ensure continuous and safe operations
• Communicate effectively via radio and visual signals with signalers, stevedores, and vessel crews
• Align movements to maintain workflow efficiency and prevent collisions or damage during loading and unloading operations
• Other tasks as assigned
