Marine Pipefitter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in Freeland, WA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $35/hr based on experience and skill level plus $164/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope: 

• Layout 
• Preparation 
• Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings and schematics 
• Working with piping systems, fuel, ballast, cooling, water, fire and main hydraulics etc.. 
• Plan and lay out pipe systems, routes and supports 
• Select and prepare materials, fittings and tools 
• Fabrication, assembly, cut, bend, thread, bevel and prepare pipe sections
• Fit and assemble pipes, valves, flanges, brackets and hangers 
• Install and align pumps, valves and machinery connections 
• Use tack welding or brazing where permitted 
• Install and secure piping systems within ship compartments, machinery spaces and deck areas 
• Ensure piping runs 
• Maintain required clearances, accessibility and safety standards 
• Install supports, insulation and penetrations through bulkheads and decks 
• Testing, inspecting conduct, hydrostatic, pneumatic and operational testing of installed piping systems 
• Inspect joints, welds and fittings for leaks and compliance 
• Verify systems meet classification, society, NAVY, Coast Guard or shipyard requirements 
• Maintenance, repair, remove, modify or replace damaged or obsolete piping systems 
• Perform hot and cold work 
• Work in confined spaces

• Adhere to standards such as ABS and OSHA regulations 
• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Marine Pipefitter
