Pipefitter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Journeyman Pipefitters for projects located in and around Irvine, CA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of $28-36/hour based on experience & skill level.  If you are a Pipefitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Installation of underground utilities
• Excavate & prepare trenches for installation of storm drain, sewer, & water lines
• Install large-diameter pipe systems, including but not limited to reinforced concrete pipe, ductile iron, HDPE, & PVC materials
• Set manholes, catch basins, inlets, valves, hydrants, & other appurtenances as required by design documents
• Grade & elevation control
• Interpret & maintain correct grades and slopes per engineered drawings & specifications to ensure proper flow & functionality
• Operate & setup grade lasers, levels, & other optical surveying tools to maintain pipe installation accuracy
• Read & interpret civil plans
• Read & comprehend civil engineering drawings, detail sheets, & project specifications
• Identify utility alignments, invert elevations, & connection points as shown in construction documents
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Understanding of Grade & Slope 
• Solid Understanding of Civil Construction Practices rather than Traditional Plumbing 
• Must have Experience with Municipal, Commercial, or Infrastructure-scale piping installation
