Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in and around Tipton, IA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of $24-28/hour based on experience & skill level.  If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Finish assembling & welding parts
• Weld & fabricate parts using various welding techniques from a variety of materials specified in blueprints
• Check measurements, alignment, weld beams, and/or columns together effectively to meet customers requirements
• Make adjustments to fit application according to blueprints by cutting and/or griding
• Re-cut parts to fit as needed 
• Cut & drill a variety of materials using acetylene
• Cut torch, hand plasma, & mag drill 
• Work on complex welding layouts
• Verify parts, codes, & stamp on top side of assembly 
• Maintain clean work area with materials off the floor & aisles clutter free
• Verify all items are marked correctly & checked as completed on blueprints
• Fill out time-sheets with proper job codes & time spent 
• Move material in and out of facility as needed using forklift 
• Structural steel welding from blueprints 
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ Years of Structural Steel welding Experience 
• D1.1 Certification or Ability to obtain
• Ability to read Blueprints
