Switchgear Operator

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Licensed Switchgear Operators for projects located in and Chesapeake, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $30/hr based on experience and skill level. If you are a Switchgear Operator eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

Job Scope: 

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in shop and field
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test power distribution equipment
• Operation, maintenance, and testing
• Disassembly, component inspection/repair, reassembly and testing
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equal
• NETA or NICET level 2 or higher electrical power testing certifications
• Previous experience in power distribution industry
