Maintenance Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Maintenance Technicians for projects located in and around Byron Center, MI. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of up to $30/hour based on experience & skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site.  If you are a Maintenance Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Check and clean wire feeder
• Inspect & replace worn components
• Inspect & repair liners, tips, & diffusers as needed
• Check for gas leaks in gas line wire feeders
• Check & replace weld currents as necessary
• Check & fill airline lubricators
• Inspect air dump valves for proper operation
• Check all wiring connections, conduits, cords, & sealtite for crushed or frayed wires
• Check main disconnect switch for proper operation
• Inspect & repair tech pendant & cable as needed
• Check lighting & task lighting; replace bulbs as needed
• Clean robot using damp cloth
• Document all paperwork completed
• Submit work orders for larger repairs as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Powered Industrial Truck Operator Permit
• Valid Michigan State Driver’s License
• Proper PPE
