Carpenter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring a skilled Journeyman Carpenters for projects located in the Monona, WI area. This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level.  Job Scope:         

• Tear off existing siding (wood, vinyl, etc.) as needed, ensuring proper disposal of all materials
• Prepare surfaces for new siding installation, including checking for moisture damage, rotting wood, or other structural issues that may need repair
• Install new siding according to the manufacturer’s specifications and local building codes. This may include trim installation, flashing, caulking, and sealing
• Ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing when installing siding

• Frame new decks, ensuring proper spacing, alignment, and structural integrity for support beams, joists, posts, and any required load-bearing structures

• Install new deck framing with attention to detail, meeting safety standards and building codes

• Ensure deck framing is square and level, making adjustments as necessary

• Install decking boards, ensuring even spacing, proper alignment, and secure attachment using fasteners or clips

• Cut and fit decking materials around obstacles such as railings, steps, or posts

• Install railings, stairs, and any other deck-related features as part of the project

• Perform finishing touches, including sanding, sealing, or staining the decking as needed

• Must be comfortable working at heights and out of a lift 
• Must have all standard PPE
• Basic hand tools
