Marine Pipefitter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $29.50/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:        

• Fitting carbon steel CRES and copper nickel piping
• Installing pipe hangers 
• Bending pipe 
• Fit welded sockets 
• Fit brazed joints with and without insert ring 
• Other tasks assigned 

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field 
• Able to read and interpret ship piping drawings
• Experienced fitting carbon steel CRES and copper nickel piping
• Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
• Knowledge in installing pipe hangers
• Ability to read a ruler using inches and tenths
• Ability to prep and fit-up backing rings
• Ability to clean cut/break pipe with a grinder
• Experience in fabrication of various details and assemblies from drawing
• Ability to hand prep V bevels
• Ability to fit welded sockets
• Ability to fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
