Shipfitter

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Shipfitters for a project located in or around Brooksport, IL.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Shipfitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:         

• Repair Work on Towboats & River Barges
• Some New Construction
• Working with Stainless Steel & Some Carbon

• Ability to read blue/drawings
• Ability to layout from blueprints, modules, assemblies for construction of barges, towboats, marine equipment
• Must pass various test, fit, drug and weld
• Required tools/PPE list: tinted face shield; basic hand tools tape measure speed square striker etc
