Marine Outside Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinist for a project located in San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to  $38/hour for locals & up to $28/hr plus $150 per-diem based on experience and skill level.  If you are an Outside Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:  

• Assemble/Installation of Complex Mechanical Systems; Meeting Alignment Criteria of Systems & Equipment
• Maintain & Repair Ships Propulsion & Auxiliary Systems
• Use Precision Measurement Tools Proficiently
• Other Tasks as Assigned

• Ability to Read and Interpret Mechanical Drawings, Written Instructions and Manuals
• Ability to Read and Comprehend Hydraulic & Pneumatic Diagrams
• Must have an Understanding of both Imperial & Metric System
• Must have an Understanding of Shop Math, Geometry, Trigonometry, Decimals & Fractions
