Marine Sheetmetal Mechanic

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Sheetmetal Mechanics for projects located in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, WA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $28/hr based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: 

• Layout, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products related to shipboard construction, HVAC, and habitability 
• Assembling ventilation runs in accordance with drawings and specs 
• Form sheet metal products using 225 ton brake press, power roller, manual roller, plasma cutter, and sheers 
• Other tasks as assigned 

Requirements: 

• Maritime OSHA 10
• Firewatch certification 
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check 
• Must have basic understanding of mechanical drawings 
• Minimum 3 years of experience 
• Basic knowledge of habitability layout and installation of MJB, MJ doors, berthings, galleys, and office outfitting
