Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Abrasive Blasters for projects located in the San Diego, CA area. This is a second shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:        

  • Prepare surfaces using a propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure 100 to 120 psi to roughen a smooth surface to remove surface contaminants
  • Remove adhering scale paint and/or multilayer rust
  • Work on ships at heights and confined areas at blast and paint facility and/or in paint pit using air feed respirator
  • Set up & use abrasive blast gear and equipment
  • Operate high reaching equipment
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned some of which may become essential to the position

Requirements

  • Must pass drug screen and background check
  • Must have respirator fit test
  • OSHA 10 Maritime, and Firewatch Certification
  • 1+ year experience on abrasive blasting activities or SSPC C7 Certification
