Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinists for projects located in and around Grand Rapids, MI.  This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Performing Assembly of Machined and/or Purchased Components under the Guidance of a Machine Builder I or Team Leader
• Wire Junction Boxes
• Welding Fabrication
• Heavy Rigging
• Using a Drill Press, Small Mill Band Saw
• Safely Operate a Forklift and Overhead Crane

Requirements:

• • Minimum of 2 Years of Machine Building Experience
  • Knowledge of Welding  Fabrication
  • Able to Read and Work from Machine Assembly Blueprints and Schematics 
  • Able to use Hand and Power Tools
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Basic Hand Tools of the Trade
  • Measuring Skills and Ability to Read Precision Measurements
  • Basic Shop Math Skills
  • Reliable and Punctual
  • Able to Work Overtime and Occasional Weekends when Needed
  • Detail Oriented
  • Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills in Excel, Work, and Email
