HVAC Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman HVAC Technicians for projects located in and around Alcoa, TN.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are an HVAC Technician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Fabrication, Installation and Maintenance of Sheet Metal Systems used in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems
• Ensure Quality and Precision in the Construction and Installation of Ductwork, Vents, and other Metal Components
• Cut, Shape, and Fabricate Sheet Metal Components, Ductwork, Vents, etc.
• Install, Assemble, and Secure HVAC Systems and Ductwork at Job sites
• Ensure all Systems are Properly Connected and Functioning
• Assist in the Layout and Design of HVAC Systems including Measurement and Fitting of Ductwork, Diffusers, and Vents
• Perform Maintenance and Repair of Existing HVAC Systems and Sheet Metal Components to Improve Efficiency or Extend Service Live
• Use Welding, Soldering and Cutting Equipment to Fabricate Parts and Make Adjustments as needed
• Inspect Work to Ensure Compliance with Quality Standards, Building Codes and Safety Regulations
• Diagnose and Resolve Issues with HVAC Duct Systems
• Working in Both Commercial and Residential Settings

Requirements:

• • Able to Read Blueprints and Project Specifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.  Vocational Training in HVAC or Sheet Metal Work is Preferred
  • Previous Experience as an HVAC/Sheet Metal Worker or in a Similar Trade
  • EPA 608 Certification for Handling Refrigerants is Preferred
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication or Welding is a Plus
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills and Attention to Detail
  • Able to Lift and Carry Heavy Materials, Work in Confined Spaces, and Work at Heights
