Electrical Field Service Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Master Field Service Technicians for projects located in and around Chesapeake, VA. Job Scope:

• Diagnose operational problems in electrical power generation and control systems and equipment.
• Use specialized measuring and testing instruments such as voltmeters ammeters ohmmeters meggers, advanced Motor Circuit Testers AWA IV12 PDMA MCE Megger ADX 15 etc.
• Make standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
• Plan and lay out work from blueprints sketches wiring diagrams or specifications
• Install, repair, and test electrical systems, electrical equipment, & emergency or standby generation systems
• Conduct IR Scans of Customer Power and Control Systems
• Perform Troubleshooting
• Maintenance and Repair of Electric Motors AC Induction
• Work with AC Synchronous, AC Wound Rotor, DC Shunt Wound, DC Series Wound, and Generators AC and DC in the Field.
• Other tasks as assigned

• Masters Electrician License preferred 
• Minimum of 4 years experience in industrial electrical troubleshooting with a background in AC/DC motors controls and generators. 
• Experience with thermography 
• NETA or NICET certifications would be preferable over a Master Electrician/Journeyman.  Certs need to be current.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have clean driving record 
• You must pass a background check & drug screen
