Electrician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians for projects located in the Wyoming, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Repair, maintain & install electrical systems and equipment such as motors transformers wiring switches programmable controller and alarm systems
• Locate and determine electrical malfunction using test instruments such as ampmeter oscilloscope and test lamp
• Repair malfunction by such methods as replacing burnt out elements and fuses
• Replace defective wiring, adjust and repair switch contact points and cleaning or rewiring motors using hand tools
• Test electrical equipment such as generators and heaters for safety and efficiency; uses standard test equipment
• Install fixtures motors and other electrical equipment and makes adjustments using hand tools
• Inspect circuits and wiring for specified shielding and grounding and repairs or rewires system according to building codes and safety regulations
• Replace bearings in electric motors
• Repair mechanical pneumatic hydraulic or electronic components using standard tools and gages
• Plan layout and wire new installations
• Repair and maintain in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturers specifications machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines starters pneumatic tools conveyor systems and production machines and equipment
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Examine parts to detect imperfections
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repair or replace defective parts
• Install special functional and structural parts in device starts devices to test their performance
• Lubricate equipment and clean parts
• Initiate requisition for parts and machines
• Repair electrical equipment
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plane blueprints and other drawings
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantle machines
• Move machinery and equipment
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting conveyors and tram rails
• Constructs foundation for machines
• Assemble machines and equipment aligns bolts welds rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures
• Repair and maintain physical structures of commercial and industrial establishments such as factories and office buildings
  
• Replace defective electrical switches and other fixtures
