Iron Worker

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Iron Workers for projects located in the Laurel Springs, NC area. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

• Interpret blueprints
• Lay out & fabricate structural steel, and sheet metal
• Cut & shape steel using hand, and power tools
• Assemble steel girders, pipework, beams, and other components to form structural frameworks
• Position, align and secure steel components to form stable
• Weld beams, columns, and girders into place
• Use tower cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to put steel components into position
• Work from elevated platforms, and scissor lifts
• Assemble precut metal buildings, cranes, derricks, and work on reinforcing bars in concrete construction
• Demo, decommission, rehabilitation of older buildings, and bridges
