Instrumentation Technician

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Instrumentation Technicians for projects located in Chattanooga, TN.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:     

• AC/DC stator rotor and armature winding with random and form coils 
• Winding machines
• Testing panels 
• Core-less testers and surge testers
• Inspect various electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunction
• Test conditions of windings per standards 
• Clean, check, file and drift core as necessary
• Test and insert coils 
• Maintain dimensions given on data sheets
• Place leads, solder or braze connections 
• Remove or install revolving field coils
• Document all relevant data specific to units, electro-magnetics, characteristics, operation condition, existing damage or intended service
• Fill out paperwork completely and legibly
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding 
• Inspect renewed parts for serviceability 

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in the field 
• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings 
• Must have experience using calipers and reading micrometers
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be willing to work overtime
