Ultrasonic Testing Inspector 2

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced UT Inspectors for projects located in Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:      

• Perform UT inspections on structural welds in a shop environment
• Utilize and interpret equipment for precise inspection and flaw detection
• Navigate climbing, crawling, and confined spaces as needed

• Must be certified to perform volumetric butt corner and tee weld UT inspection in accordance with NAVSEA standards
• Must provide certification documentation for the current and preceding 3-year period
• Certified to Level II ASNT SNT-TC-1A (2001 Edition or later)
• Passed written, general theory, procedure-specific, and practical UT examinations
• Vision acuity tested with Jaeger 1 letters at 12 inches within the last year
• Demonstrated recent experience in applicable methods within the past 9 months
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights
• Willingness to crawl in tanks and confined spaces
