Journeyman Glazier Requirements:  

 

 

As a Journeyman Glazier you will be responsible for and required to know the following: 

 

  • Fabricate and install metal frameworks for windows, storefronts, curtain walls or doors to be fitted with glass panels.
  • Knowledge of various types of impact glass systems, glazing tools, small power tools and basic hand tools, basic math skill for accurate measurements.
  • Must have an eye for detail, the ability to follow instructions, must be organized.
  • General construction safety procedures, finish carpentry skills are useful.
  • Must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Must have a satisfactory driving record

 

We supply free OSHA 10 to all hires, a $150 value to you and a lot of contractors are requiring it now just to walk on the site.

Requirements

Specific requirements:

 

  •  5+ years of experience in commercial, residential, industrial or marine carpentry / glazing
  • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications required by our client for information pertaining to the type of material required to get job done
  • Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklift
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tool and carpentry / glazing tools and equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
  • Drug free at all times
